A New Kind of Social Creature in a Tiny Gadget

ooi is a new kind of social creature in a tiny gadget. It moves between its body, your phone, and even other people’s home screens and Dynamic Islands, creating unexpected connections and shared moments. 🤩 Adopt an ooi,and explore musical journeys, cyber meditation, AI social play, and more.

👋Meet ooi

No camera. No microphone. Just a screen and a button. ooi has no sensors of its own. Instead, it uses your phone’s microphone, speaker, camera, motion sensors, and haptic motor to sense and interact with the world around it — so you stay in control of your privacy.

Born from an Ancient Rhythm

ooi’s design was inspired by an ancient Eastern meditation instrument — the wooden fish.

For centuries, its steady rhythm has accompanied meditation and mindfulness – becoming a symbol of rhythm, presence, and connection.

And these days? Sometimes people just bring one out for something completely random😊

We turned the wooden fish into ooi.

Generative Display

With a simple prompt, ooi can create almost anything you imagine and bring it to life on its screen — a slot machine, a 3-minute hourglass, or a swarm of colorful jellyfish etc.

And here’s the fun part: use ooi’s mallet-shaped button to interact with whatever you create.

Then, with one tap, summon nearby oois to your phone and let them join yours for a party right on your home screen.

Wake Up Your ooi

With a simple tap, your phone becomes a tiny mallet — beginning a little ritual that wakes your ooi.

Each ooi also carries its own unique digital key, tied to its personality and memories, so no two oois are quite the same.
