The passion for the classic gentleman's sporting timepieces from the 1950s, OBELUS has given a facelift to one of the most popular designs from the watchmaking history "Chronograph", to create its inaugural watch model “OBELUS RETRO CHRONOSCOPE" designed by an enthusiastic watch lover in Versailles (France).
We are honoured to share our passion in amplifying the heritage of the tool watch, while paying tribute to the timeless designs originated from the past.
The Retro Chronoscope Collection presents:
A modern interpretation with a retro aesthetic. It houses a larger 42mm case as compared to the 36/38mm in the 50s/60s, to accommodate modern taste with a larger case; while keeping the sober and flat silhouette from the classic vintage watch case, staying true to the original spirit.
Transparency is necessary to avoid any confusion
By choosing the best suppliers and working with them to understand their process for months before our first prototypes, we design, purchase and manufacture our components in 5 different regions: Hong Kong, Japan and Switzerland for most components, Italy for our straps and accessories.
All our watches and packaging are designed and created in France, in Versailles.
